After reading Bob Robinson’s book Bicycling Guide to the Mississippi River Trail, I decided to dip my recumbent wheels in the headwaters of the Mississippi River at Itasca State Park, Minnesota for an 18-day, self-contained trip down to St. Charles, Missouri. To be able to follow the river and watch it grow made for an awesome trip and I will finish the ride down to the Gulf of Mexico next year.
